Rona Hartner rose to prominence in 1997 in Tony Gatlif's "Gadjo Dilo," a film delving into the lives of Romanian Gypsies. Yet, she never made a breakthrough in her own country.
After settling in France, she developed an artistic and musical career centered around the rich cultural intersections inherent to Gypsy travel. From traditional brass bands to cumbia, electro-swing, dub, drum 'n' bass, and gospel, she has always been guided by her Christian faith.
